In this section you will find information on everything you need to know about your temporal or permanent stay when coming to Düsseldorf.
Before coming to Germany you should check whether you need a visa. Staying here for a longer period might require getting a residence permit, although citizens of the European Union do not need to get one. If you are a citizen from Australia, Japan, Canada, New Zealand or the US you do not need a visa for stays shorter than 90 days. If you plan to stay longer you will need one. Please note that the residence permit is temporally limited so you will have to apply again.
