The Family Card, or Familienkarte as it is called in German, is a great idea - the blue card was introduced to make life a little easier on the purse strings and a lot more fun for families in Dusseldorf.
Local businesses, sports and leisure clubs provide special offers that spare the family budget and thus encourage families to enjoy their time together and life in Dusseldorf to the fullest.
Every parent registered in Dusseldorf with at least one child under 18 years of age is entitled to apply for the family card. The card itself is free and offers discounts as wide ranging as children's clothing to amusement parks visits to chemist essentials.
Every business is welcome to contribute to the city’s initiative of making Dusseldorf even more family-friendly by becoming a partner.
