The film museum has its own great film set. Covering four floors, the film museum is located directly at the Rhine close to the passing ships, where it has collected artefacts and explored the topic of film since 1979.
Take a look at the machinery of films and the making of special effects. The permanent exhibition informs about the history, aesthetics and theory of film. A variety of special exhibitions emphasize single aspects such as famous actors, directors or themes like cartoons, film as art and so on. Furthermore, the museum has an accumulation of diverse things concerning film; archives of costumes and a collection of photos, placards and scriptures feature this field.
They offer guided tours, organize children's birthdays on the premises that can include small workshops, animations or tours and they also rent several rooms for private festivities or events.
