Museums.
The cultural scene caters for all tastes. The variety of museums, galleries and historical attractions all reveal the rich and stimulating atmosphere of this capital on the Rhine. Taking time out to visit these institutions is highly recommendable and often surprising.
Many of the museums not only impress with their well structured and comprehensible galleries but also with their striking locations and architecture. Benrath Castle, which has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, with it's beautiful gardens; and Jägerhof Castle hosting the Goethe Museum are two magnificent baroque examples. Others, including the Filmmuseum or the Aquazoo, impose with their moderness. All museums are well maintained and well worth a visit.
