The ever popular British Days + Country Fair is back at Burg Linn in Krefeld from 9 to 11 September 2011. With more than 21.000 visitors and almost 120 exhibitors the fair opens again on Friday noon leading into a candle-light-shopping up to 9pm.
The British Days + Country Fair is a family event in the style of a British "County Show" - a "must" for lovers of the "British Way of Life" - with open air shopping for top quality goods such as country clothing, antiques and home and garden accessories. The service industry is also well represented by organisations from the travel, language and education sectors. And of course, last but not least, British food and drink can also be enjoyed - such as the famous English all-day breakfast, Five o'clock tea with scones, Fish and Chips, Pimms and British Ales, ciders and much more.
A further highlight of the event is the full programme of attractions which takes place throughout the weekend and includes Scottish Highland Games, falconry shows, live Irish folk music, welly wanging, Dinner for One, street theatre from Covent Garden, parachuting as well as Paddington Bear and various games for the little ones.
The cultural highlight of the weekend in Krefeld is once again The Stena Line Open Air Proms Concert.
