The 7th Art is fascinating, but it is hard to enjoy a good film in German if German is not your mother tongue. To make it easier, several cinemas in Dusseldorf screen movies in the original language, many of which are in English.
The CineStar multiplex shows mostly mainstream films, but there are also several other, more intimate independent cinemas such as the Metropol in Bilk that screen a wider range of films; some arthouse and a little mainstream.
