In the heart of the city one can find another jewel of the Dusseldorf art scene: the museum kunst palast. Already in 1902 the precursor of the today's museum, the Kunstpalast, was established.

After major restructuring, name changing and renovations, the museum kunst palast was brought to renewed life in 2001. The public-private-partnership of the city of Dusseldorf and E.ON AG enabled the museum's concept and building to create a new glamour and exclusivity.

The museum kunst palast houses excellent collections and changing exhibitions. The painting gallery, the graphic arts collection and the high-class collection of modern art are a few examples of the wide spectrum of the museum. The varying exhibitions which are also listed online in a preview as well as in the archive complete the program of the museum.

The possibility to rent the Robert Schumann hall, the museum entrance halls or the room of Belvedère is only one service of the museum. A catering service is likewise available for these occasions. The museum shop entices the purchase of African and Asian craft art, as well as several catalogues, printing, graphic arts and pocket creations. And on the topic of cultural education, the museum kunst palast offers subject-related work with and guidance of school classes, holiday programmes and organised birthday parties.
