The Science Centre North Rhine-Westphalia, Wissenschaftszentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen, belongs to the ministry of innovation, economy, research and technology of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Its tasks are in dialog management between the single science disciplines and between policy, economy and culture as well as the general public. Fields of work include new technologies, cultural and social sciences as well as bio sciences and life sciences. Symposia, congresses and publications are also offered. Two principles drive the Science Centre; the aspect of the influence of innovation on cultural and social life as well as the question whether cultural trends and examination create orientation in today's world.
