Golf was known as early as the fifteenth century and already then it was a sport for the aristocracy. Because of the high fees for golf courses and the necessary equipment, this form of sport is still believed to be one for the upper class.
The main goal is that the golf ball is hit with as few attempts as possible. One is in the fresh air all day and for longer distances, if one is feeling lazy, one can always use a golf cart.
In Dusseldorf there is even a possibility to play golf if it rains. The first indoor golf course in Germany can be found here.
