Established in 1973 and still young, the Abenteuerspielplatz Eller, an adventure playground, has become a second home to many children and their relatives.
Under supervision and with simple tools youngsters can have fun with handicrafts; forging, sawing and hammering. They can even build their own hut stands in the playground’s village. After so much work, they can cool down by the lake; play all kinds of ball games, scramble up monkey bars and many things more.
Also, the children can plant vegetables, the harvest of which is turned into a soup at the end of the day. Children who like animals can foster, say a guinea pig, at the Abenteuerspielplatz – or may adopt one and take it home if their parents agree. And then there is Simbad, the billy goat and Olga, the sheep…
Under the guidance of supervisors school kids will learn a lot about the four elements, handicrafts and nature whilst letting their creativity run free. Younger children are welcome, too, though they should be accompanied by a family member.
